JESUS As A Child

Joseph was directed to a place of safety in Nazareth, his former home. And for most of JESUS’s growing years till thirty years of age was His residence. “that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets. HE shall be called a Nazarene.”

Spiritual things are spiritually discerned. There was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for The Consolation of Israel. the Holy Ghost was upon him. Its was revealed unto Simeon, that he would not see death, before he had first seen the Lord’s Christ. Simeon sees Joseph, Mary and the One he had waited for. Simeon takes Jesus from Mary and lifts Him toward heaven proclaiming; “Lord, now lettest Thou Thy servant depart in peace, according to Thy Word: for mine eyes have seen Thy Salvation, which Thou has prepared before the face of all people; a light to lighten the Gentiles, and The Glory of Thy People Israel.” the spirit of prophecy was upon this man of God, and while Joseph and Mary stood by, wondering at his words, Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary, “Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; (yea a sword shall pierce through thy soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” Anna also, a prophetess, came in and confirmed Simeon’s testimony concerning Christ. As Simeon spoke, her face lighted up with The Glory of GOD, and she poured out her heartfelt thanks that she had been permitted to behold Christ The LORD. Luke 2:22-38.

I think of JESUS’s years of childhood. I feel that there were the people of the area whom just loved and adored JESUS’s beauty of honesty, purity, integrity, hard-working skills, love for GOD and family. I also, can picture those siblings and others who were quite jealous of HIS good-standing. HIS half brothers and sisters were not always so kind. GOD kept HIM in attentive care, until JESUS would accomplish HIS Sacrificial Mission. HIS parents taught Him the Hebrew writings and the Old Testamont Scriptures; filled with prophectic truth and The WORD Of GOD; that HE ; Himself gave to Moses and other Holy men of GOD. JESUS is our example. There are many who dwell with interest upon the period of His public ministry, while they pass unnoticed the teaching of His early years. But, it is in his homelife that He patterned for all our children and youth. The Saviour condescended to poverty, that He might teach how closely we in a humble lot may walk with GOD. He lived to please, honor, and glorify His Father, in the common things of life. His Work began in consecrating the lowly trade of the trade of the craftsmen who toil for their daily bread. HE was doing GOD’s service just as much when laboring at the carpenter’s bench as when working miracles for the multitude. And every youth who follows Christ’s example of faithfulness and obedience in His lowly home may claim those words spoken of Him by The Father through The Holy spirit. “Behold My servant, whom I uphold; Mine Elect, in whom My soul delighteth (delights in).” Isaiah 42:1.

The life of Christ was marked with respect and love for His mother. Through every temptation Jesus witnessed, “It Is Written.” JESUS did not contend for His Rights. Often His Work was made unnecessarily severe because He was willing and uncomplaining. Yet, He did not fail nor become discouraged. HE lived above these difficulties, as if in the light of GOD’s Countenance. HE did not retaliate when roughly used, but bore insult patiently. It is written, HE said, “My Son, forget not My Law; but let thine heart keep My Commandments: for length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee; bind them around thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart; so shall thou find favor and good understanding in the sight of GOD and man.” Proverbs 3:1-4. From His early youth; JESUS hours of happiness were found when alone in nature and with GOD. Whenever it was His Priveledge, He turn aside from the scene of His Labor and Education, to go into the fields, to meditate in the green valleys, to hold communion with GOD on the mountainside or amid the trees of the forest. The early morning often found Him in some secluded place, meditating, searching The Scriptures, or in prayer. From these quiet hours He would return home to take up His Righful duties again, to give an example of patient toil. JESUS is mankind’s example for us each to learn from; follow; and live..to reflect His Heart Of Love and The Father’s Truth; In Purpose Of Fulfillment. As, when JESUS was found in the temple courts amoung the taught elders and doctors. It was three days, after the celebrated Passover Feast in Jerusalem. Joseph and Mary found their twelve year old JESUS there. And when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said unto Him; “Son, why has Thou thus dealt with us? Behold thy father and I have sought Thee sorrowing. And JESUS responded to his earthly parents; “How is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not (Don’t you know?) I must be about My Father’s Business?” [To acknowledge JESUS’s Duty in purpose; to teach others of His Father’s Will and Truth.] I feel that in our current time now, that it is the parent’s given responsibility from GOD; to bring up their children in The LORD. And as JESUS’s time was given, at twelve years of age; to preach The Truth Of HIS Father..then, we ourselves are accounted to do so… as HE was.
