Fishers Of Men…

When JESUS had heard that John was cast into prison, He departed into Galilee; and leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum. JESUS began to preach, and to say, “Repent for The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.” When JESUS was walking by the sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers; Simon (called Peter), and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishers. JESUS said,”Follow ME, and I will make you fishers of men.” And immediately they left their nets (occupation). Then Jesus journeyed further and saw two brothers, James and John, in a boat mending nets alongside their father Zebedee. JESUS called for the two brothers and they left their father immediately and followed Him. There was joy in The Heart of The Divine Teacher, as these souls responded to His Grace. Matthew 4:18-22; Mark 1:16-20. HE asked “What seek ye?” HE would leave them to speak freely of their desire. “Rabbi,..where dwellest Thou?” “HE said unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where HE dwelt, and abode with Him that day.” These first disciples responded to The Holy Spirit’s calling; in the preaching of John The Baptist. Now, they recognized the voice of The Heavenly Teacher. It is contrition (sincere repentance) and faith and love that enables the soul to receive wisdom from heaven. Faith working in love is the key of knowledge, and everyone that loveth “knoweth GOD” 1John 4:7. All whom are consecrated to GOD will be channels of light. GOD makes them His Agents to communicate to others the riches of His Grace. And he/she who seeks to give light to others will be blessed. “There shall be showers of blessings.” “He that watereth shall be watered.” Proverbs 11:25. GOD could have reached His Object in saving sinners without our aid; but in order for us to develop character like Christ’s, we must participate in His Labors for their redemption. The angels of GOD are ever passing from earth to heaven, and from heaven to earth. The miracles of Christ for the afflicted and the suffering were wrought by The Power Of GOD, through the ministration of His Heavenly Messengers, that every blessing comes from GOD to us. In taking upon Himself humanity, our Saviour unites His Interests with those of the fallen sons and daughters of Adam, while through His Divinity He grasps The Throne Of GOD. And thus Christ is The Medium Of Communication of men with GOD, and of GOD with men.

And they went into Capernaum; and on The Sabbath Day HE entered into the synagogue and taught. And they all were astonished at HIS Doctrine: for HE taught them as One that had Authority, and not as the scribes. And there in the synagogue was a man with an unclean spirit; and this man cried out, “saying, “Let us alone; what have we to do with Thee; Thou JESUS of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know Thee; Who Thou Art, The Holy One Of GOD.” JESUS rebuked him, saying, “Hold thy peace, and come out of him.” The unclean spirit cried in a loud voice and left the man. Immediately His Fame spread throughout all the region round about Galilee. JESUS and the four left the synagogue and went to Simon and James house. Simion’s mother-in-law lay sick with a fever. JESUS took her by the hand stood her up and immediately the fever left. She then, served them. JESUS preached in their synagogues throughout all of Galilee, and cast out devils, healing all throughout the areas.

JESUS ordained twelve men, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach. To also, have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils. Simon He surnamed Peter; and James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and He surnamed them Boanerges, which is; The sons of thunder. And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew (tax collector), and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, which betrayed JESUS. [Mark chapter 3]. The Twelve were with JESUS for the three and a half years; studying with The Rabbi: The Lamb Of GOD. HE taught them through parables and through HIS Father’s Truth and Way. Receiving JESUS’s Compassion and Patience. To be with HIM throughout those years; in true brotherhood. The priveledged calling from The LORD to represent HIS Heart and Father’s Truth to others. We each, are given The Same Position and Task. We Are Commanded To Do So…

The Wedding Feast…

This is known as a ‘Chuppah‘. It is of an intricately designed fabric. To be used as a Jewish ceremonial canopy over a wedded couple. Its pictured artwork is a representative of the sacred union of marriage by Almighty GOD. The union is Sanctified (made Holy) through GOD. The ‘chuppah’ is for the covering of blessings from GOD, over their union.

JESUS and His Diciples attended the marriage feast of His Human Family’s friends and neighbors. It was a custom for the marriage festivities to continue for several days. On this occasion, before the feast ended it was found that the supply of wine had failed. Mary (mother of JESUS) had assisted in the arrangements for the feast, she spoke to JESUS stating; “they have no wine.” These words were a suggestion that He might supply their need. But, JESUS answered, “Woman, what have I to do with thee? Mine hour is not yet come.” HIS answer was in no way of disrespect given. Every aspect of Christ’s earthly life was in harmony with The Precept HE Himself had given, “Honor thy father and thy mother.” Exodus 20:12. On the cross, in His last act of tenderness toward His Mother, JESUS again addressed her in the same way, as He committed her to the care of His best-beloved disciple. Only in love expressed. For thirty years, He had been to her a loving and obedient son, but, He must now be doing His Father’s (Almighty GOD) Work. As Son of The Most High GOD, and Saviour of the world, no earthly ties must hold Him from His Mission, or influence His Conduct. HE must stand free to do The Will Of GOD. This lesson is also, for us. The claims of GOD are paramont even to the ties of human relationship. No earthly attractions should turn our feet from the path in which He bids us to walk.

The only hope of redemption for our fallen race is in Christ; Mary could only find salvation only through The Lamb Of GOD. In herself, she possessed no merit. Her connection with JESUS placed her in no different spiritual relationship to Him from that of any other human soul. This is indicated in The Saviour’s Words. HE makes clear the distinction between His Relation to her as a son; the Son of man and as The Son Of GOD. The kinship between them in no way placed her on an equality with Him.

The words, “Mine hour is not yet come,” point to the fact that every act of Christ’s life on earth was in fulfillment of the plan that had existed from the days of eternity. Before Christ came to earth, The Plan lay out before Him; perfect in all its details. But, as He walked among men, He was guided, step-by-step; by The Father’s Will. The Communication through prayer was always existing. JESUS did not hesitate to act at the appointed time. With the same submission He waited until the time had come. Mary did desire for JESUS’s Miraculous Act to reveal to others; His position and stature as The Messiah, and to take the throne of Israel. She held not the correct concepted view of her son’s mission. But, because of her earnest trust and love for Him; JESUS responded to her request. It was to honor Mary’s trust and to strengthen the faith of His Disciples, that this miracle was performed. To help them stand against the oppositions, they would encounter and be tested against.
