5 Loafs & 2 Fish

 The Passover was at hand, and from far and near distant lands, bands of pilgrims on their way to Jerusalem gathered to see JESUS. Additions were made to their numbers as they increased. Until five thousand men and also women and children were assembled. Before Christ reached the shore, this multitude was awaiting Him. But, after JESUS landed with His Disciples; He set them aside to speak and pray with them. HE went upon an adjoining hillside. Looking upon the great gathering multitude, His heart was moved with sympathy. Seeing that these gathered were as lost sheep, without a shepherd. JESUS had compassion upon them. Leaving His retreat, He found a place where He could be seen and especially heard. The people listened to the words of mercy flowing so freely from The SON Of GOD. They listened to His Gracious Words, spoken simply and plain, that the crowd received understanding, from His Words. As The Balm Of Gilead (this topical oitment was used for its healing properties)  to their souls. The healing of His Divine Hand brought gladness and life to the dying and healing to those suffering and diseased.

 The passing hours of the day seemed, as if time stopped. It was like heaven upon earth, in His Presence. The length of time passed and the afternoon was upon them. JESUS and His Followers had not stopped to prepare a meal. The town was a distance from the multitude gathered. The market square could not substain such a needed hunger. The disciples were urging JESUS to send the crowds on, to suffice their own needing. JESUS spoke, “Give them to eat,” and then, turning to Philip, He questioned, “Whence(where) shall we buy bread(food), that these shall eat?” This JESUS said to test the disciples faith. Philip looked over the crowd, and thought how impossible it would be to provide food to satisfy the wants of such a crowd. Philip answered that two hundred pennyworth of bread would not be enough to divide among them, so that each person might have a little. JESUS inquired how much food could be found among the company. “There is a lad here,” said Andrew, “which hath(has) five barley loaves, and two small fish; but what are they among so many?” JESUS directed that the disciples to divide the multitude into groups of fifty to a hundred, to allow these organized groups to witness Him. When this was accomplished JESUS took the food, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and brake it, giving it to His Disciples, to distribute between the crowds. And they all ate, and were filled. And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fish.

 HE who taught His People the way to secure peace and happiness was just as thoughtful of their temporal necessities, as of their spiritual need. The people were hungered and wearied by their long traveled journey. JESUS provided them with the food needed for their substanance. Just as He is The Bread Of Heaven, which substains the soul. As the multitude gathered there was not much room for the people to sit and rest. There were children and mothers with their babes, people who were physically drained and with no area to really rest.  JESUS had the disciples lead these people to sit in groups, to help offer their rest. Christ nevered worked a miracle except to prrovide a genuine necessity. And in the miracles was the symbolic and literal need of coming to The Tree Of LIFE. Whose leafs are for the healing of all nations. The simple food passed around by the hands of the disciples contained numerous lessons from heaven. In its humble fare that had been provided of fish and barley loafs were the daily food of the fishermen from The Sea of Galilee. Christ could of gave the crowd a feast of rich foods for their pallets. But, He gave them their necessary substance to allow their bodies and minds to stay clear. To this offering the simplicity of their requirement to be filled by Him.  Spiritually a necessity. JESUS does not ask us to prepare ourself, before we seek or commune with Him. HE states, “Come as you are.” This message was also, given to the crowd. Through Christ’s examples, while here on earth, we can then, obtain His Grace-given Messages. They all are so profound. Every action, word, expression, reflection, and prayer; are from The Heart Of Almighty GOD. Every Scriptural Word is connected Hand-in-Hand To GOD. Each Word is totally connected and interwoven to one another. GOD is perfectly harmonious and EverPresent; In ALL Things…. So every teaching that Christ reflected was perfectly connected to HIS Father. The Heart and Audible WORD Of GOD. Christ is a total reflection of Father JEHOVAH.

 JESUS is The Provider of man’s common needs. HE also, says that The Father gives Good Things to those that ask Him. [Matthew 7:11] Especially when we step forward in Faith. The Saviour has not promised riches or luxury to His Followers. Our welfare may be simple and scanty. Our lot may be shut in by poverty; but that our needing shall be supplied. JESUS showing that His provision is far better, than, worldly good. The abiding of His Presence surpasses all measure.

 In the feeding of the multitude exceeding five thousand, JESUS lifts the veil from the world of natural things, and reveals the power that is consistantly exercised for our livelihood. In the production of earth’s harvest; GOD is working daily miracles. Through natural agencies the same work is accomplished that was performed in the feeding of this great multitude. Men prepare the soil and sow the seeds. GOD is the one whom germinates the seed and supplies the nutrients, the dew and rain, oxygen and sunlight, also, the clouds for a protective covering. Men are to co-operate with GOD, in the caring of these given resources. All living creation is to be attended and cared for, by mankind. The earth is a given gift; a paradise, that was made just for our supplying and pleasure. The creative living animals, vegetations, waters and beyond; are all gifts from His Merciful Kindness; Of The Loving Heart Of GOD. Humanity is also, to tend and work to continue these blessings. Not in a glutonious manner of over production. We were intended to eat of the trees, and grains of the field. Not the killing and comsumption of animals. Which was brought in from sin; after Adam/Eve’s sinning. Tainted meal consumption does dull the senses, causing an indifference and lazy spiritness.

 After the multitudes had been fed, there was an abundance of food left. JESUS asked that the uneatened food to be gathered back into the baskets. This lesson is a twofold. Where all gifts and blessings received, are to be remembered. That nothing is to be wasted. That all temporal things are necessary. If, the populations were to only indulge sensibly; then, there would not be any hungry or without the basic needing to livelihood. In the Spiritual Truth; to be shared; giving others the message; of The Bread Of Heaven. The multitude, also, thought of others, whom they cared for, that was not there, among them. They wished for The Saviour’s Message, to be heard and received. The Saviour was showing that man’s dependance on their own means; is not the essential tool to their surviving. The Hand Of GOD supplies their substance and the vital power to substain. What creates the ability of the seed to germinate? The individualized DNA of each plant? The Creator’s Hand leaves His Trademark on each living thing. each atom and molecule; showing His Handywork. Mankind seriously needs to recognize their position and The Loving Authority GOD has with His Created Beings….

 When Christ stood before those five-thousand plus, He did not have the food, readily at hand. HE had not invited the crowds, they were there, awaiting Him. The Providence Of GOD had placed JESUS there. HE; Himself was also, dependant on Almighty GOD for this supply. To relieve this much needed necessity, for them, all. Christ has bidden us, “Deal(deliver) thy(your) bread(food/substance) to the hungry,” and satisfy(nourish) the afflicted soul (those in needing)” “when thou (you) see the naked, that thou cover him,” “and bring the poor that are cast out (the homeless) to thy (your) house.” Isaiah 58:7-10.  At times, we look at our means (income and resources) and what extent and affect it will have to influence those who are desperately in need. We cannot fathom how we can attend to the multitudes. As, Christ went to His Father, we must do. To step forward in Faith and ask GOD to supply our means to help others. We are commanded to do so. It is not as a charity venue. It is an extension of GOD’s Hands reaching the multitudes. It is a required action, from His Heart. We are to take care of others in needing.. This is a given responsibility, in our given livelihood and position here, upon the earth. It is GOD’s requirement within humanity.

 When Christ asked His Disciples to serve the crowds. HE did not invite them to eat, but, to distribute this food, which was Bountifully Blessed. The food which was blessed from The Father; multiplied within Christ’s Hands. When the disciples carried them forward; the food increased beyond measurably proportions; supplying each person’s hungering need. The representation of the depending crowds, including the disciples, were reaching out to Christ Himself; as The Bread Of Life; The Endless Supplier. After the baskets were returned with the left-over feeding; Christ and His Disciples partook Of The Heaven-supplied food. The disciples were the channel of communication between Christ and the people. This is to be our example. Christ is The Great Source, of all necessity and strength. His disciples (as us today) are to receive all supplying from Him. We can only impart which is given by Him and received. As we continue to supply the needs of others, He will multiply our resources. In dependance upon The Giver, we will succeed; in the building upon The Kingdom Of GOD. It is a kind of a chain linkage reaction that multiplies and strengthens each another, in a combined union. Dependance on each link’s ability to uphold, but independent on the quality given to sustain this combination. To depend upon The Creator’s Wisdom and Means; to supply all that is needed, to prevail through His Truth (His Will). “And He that supplieth (supplies) seed to the sower (disciple/servant) and bread (food & spiritual truth/The Word), shall supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness/(His Righteousness): ye being enriched in everything unto all liberality (provided for), which worketh(works) through us thanksgiving (given thanks) to GOD.”  Luke 6:38;  2Cor. 9:6-11.
